I love the proportions of my original Briamar Bag pattern, except that a large smartphone does not fit in the front pocket. I had envisioned that pocket for keys or other smaller items, but have had many requests to enlarge it to fit a phone.

What’s Different?

The overall dimensions remain the same. The proportion of the front pocket has been updated to be taller and deeper. I also refreshed the pattern itself to include a Table of Contents like my newer patterns, which also works as a quick list of steps once you already know what to do. Additional diagrams and photos were added, to make the directions extra clear.

How Do I Download the Update?

I have replaced the original Briamar pattern file with the V2 version. To download the new version, log into your account and go to “My Downloads” on the left. You should see a button to download “Briamar Bag Pattern (V2)”.

What If I Prefer the Original?

No worries! The V2 pattern includes notes with dimensions for the original pieces. Three of the seven pieces need to be a little longer or shorter. I don’t include pattern pieces for the original Briamar, but you can use the V2 pattern pieces and adjust by adding or subtracting an inch as noted after the cutting chart in the PDF.

Can I Make Both?

You sure can! You can also mix & match your looks, or keep it solid like this Briamar V2 in buttery-soft red leather.
